# Is there a weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly VWAP?

**Yes: add Anchored VWAP.** It is a free official indicator that draws the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly VWAPs on one chart. Each one can carry standard deviation bands, and you can add session lines for Sydney, Tokyo, London and New York.

1. Click **Indicators** in the top bar, or press `/`.
2. Search for "anchored vwap" or "avwap" and click **Add** on **Anchored VWAP**.
3. Hover its legend row and click the gear to pick which periods show and which get bands.

Anchored VWAP also works on CME futures charts.

## Other ways to anchor a VWAP

The **VWAP** indicator restarts every session by default. In its settings, **Anchor period** switches it to **Week**, **Month** or **Year**. It also offers **Custom**, **Highest high**, **Lowest low** and **Highest volume**, but no quarterly option.

To start a VWAP from a bar you choose, use the **Anchored VWAP** drawing tool, under **Volume-Based** in the drawing toolbar. The [drawing tools guide](/learn/charting/drawing-tools) shows where it sits.
