User Guides/Charting

Charting on OpenMarket

The chart and the tools around it — chart types, drawing tools, price alerts, and keyboard control, with links into the full charting guides.

Everything that is not order flow lives here: the chart itself and the tools around it. This section is being built out guide by guide; the essentials below are true today and enough to get productive.

Chart types

Fifteen chart types ship today: candles, hollow candles, Heikin Ashi, OHLC bars, volume candles, columns, high-low, spline, marker line, step line, HLC area, area, baseline, and the two order flow natives, footprint and TPO. Switch with the selector next to the interval chips.

Drawing tools

The left toolbar holds 99 tools in 9 groups (lines, arrows, Gann and Fib, patterns, forecast and measure, annotations, shapes, freehand, emoji). Star the ones you use into the favorites strip, and use the magnet toggle for precise anchoring to bars. Drawings save per symbol automatically.

Alerts

Right-click any price on the chart (or hit the bell) to arm a price alert: above or below, one-shot or repeating, with optional expiry and webhook delivery. Free plans include 5 active alerts, Plus raises the cap to 50.

Keyboard

The chart is fully keyboard-driven: letters open symbol search prefilled, digits switch intervals, and every drawing tool has an Alt-letter binding. The full editable map lives in Profile menu, Keyboard shortcuts.
