Order flow on OpenMarket, which tool when

A map of OpenMarket's order-flow suite — footprint, TPO, heatmap, DOM, tape, and CVD — and which tool answers which question.

Candles tell you where price went. Order flow tells you who moved it: how much was bought and sold, at which prices, and whether the other side absorbed it or ran. OpenMarket ships a full order flow suite, and each tool answers a different question. This page is the map.

How the tools stack

A common way traders combine them:

  1. TPO for context: where is value, what looks accepted, what looks poor and unfinished.
  2. Footprint for the fight: when price reaches a level that matters, watch which side is initiating and which side absorbs.
  3. Orderbook heatmap and tape for the trigger: is the liquidity that should defend the level actually there, and are market orders hitting it or pulling.

You do not need all of them on one chart. Start with one tool, learn what it looks like when it agrees with your idea and when it argues, then add the next.
